After over four months, almost 25 000 lines of code and 286 commits in git, I'm proud to announce that...

...the version 1.0.0 is finally here!

It is not actually particularly huge update (compared to 0.8.0 or 0.9.0), but some new stuff was added. Note that even though it is called version 1.0.0, I will still be making bug fixes if needed, I just won't be adding new features.

Major changes:

• A downloadable desktop version for Windows and Linux (64-bit only) is released. Since I have only one Windows machine (and three Linux machines...), I can only guarantee that the Windows version works on my machine (natively and through Wine), and Linux version works at least on Linux Mint and LMDE. Note that to reduce t he file size I removed some localization files provided by nw.js (the tool used to make the desktop version possible) since some internet sources say that only en-us is required, but if the game refuses to run on your machine, it might be because of a missing locale file. In this case, please report me immediately and I try to fix things.

Minor changes:

• A whole bunch of minor bug fixes.
• Some small dialogue changes.
• Gems are now purplish red instead of green, to make them less likely to get lost in the background.
• Pigs now look like pigs. Originally they were supposed to be pig-like humans, now they are just pigs.
• Some tilemap fixes.

So, yeah, not really a big update, but a major milestone for me anyway: this is the biggest (game) project I have ever made, and being able to finish a project this big is very important to me since it proves that I can make bigger games if I find enough motivation and/or dedication (and time). 

What next? A new game project, of course. Will there be another metroidvania in near future? Probably not in near future, but at some point? Definitely. Maybe something slightly smaller in scale, though. But not this year, and maybe not next year, either, but after that... who knows?
